About Bethany

Picture
There is something incredibly special about the therapeutic relationship. It's a rare thing in our busy lives to have dedicated time with another who listens deeply to our story, offers emotional support, and provides a new perspective as well as honest feedback.  In fact, a warm and caring therapeutic relationship is the biggest determining factor in client success, regardless of therapeutic style.
With that in mind, I approach psychotherapy with an eye to the therapist-client relationship. Together we cultivate genuine and warm connection in the counseling space. Through this bond, clients make strides toward self-empowerment, self-acceptance, and positive upward movement to reach their unique individual goals. My style aligns closest with an integration of psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral therapy, and internal family systems theories.
I am a licensed psychologist in the state of Pennsylvania. I obtained my M.Ed. and PhD in Counseling Psychology from Lehigh University, and I completed my doctoral internship at the University of Pennsylvania counseling center. I am credentialed as a PSYPACT provider, allowing me to see clients from the majority of states in the US via telehealth. I also serve as an adjunct professor in counseling for Lehigh University graduate students. Outside of the office, you're likely to find me hiking, baking, making music, or exploring the Lehigh Valley and beyond.
